2.0 out of 5 stars Okay while flying, but go out upon landing, February 21, 2011

For some reason, the green lights just are not up to par with the other colors. They feel a bit loose and flicker, and about 9 times out of ten go out when my disc lands. These were purchased as an alternative to the fishing battery lights that cost about $5 each. I also purchased a multi-pack of the Beacons, and the green in that pack does the same thing. The other colors stay lit and bright, but the do not.

These are plenty bright, easy, and economical enough to use on a number of discs at night; not just your driver. The one I taped to the underside of my clear driver came off during a couple of crashes, such as a tree and a concrete walkway. I needed a fresh tape strip. If additional tape strips are sold separately, it would be great. I've tried the expensive screw-on modules, and the low-visibility chemical tubes. These little beacons are the best I've found.
