The SofFlite flying disc is soft and flexible for dogs with sensitive mouths. Although the SofFlite is flexible, it still flies well. The SofFlite disc also floats if immersed in water.

I had high hopes for this disc, I've been on the hunt for the perfect floating disc for a soft mouthed dog, but we lost this one after just a few throws. It flipped over, took on water and though technically it was still floating, it became invisible to the dog. He literally bumped right into it and was looking right at it and could not see it. I recommend that the manufacturer change the colors and pattern to something more visible. They could take a cue from the manufacturers of training bumpers and go with a high contrast black and white pattern, stripes, chevrons, checkers, polka dots, whatever. In the mean time, I can recommend the Chuckit! Amphibious Flying Ring. It's not a competition disc, but it is the best floating disc I've found so far.

This freebie is large enough to behave like a regular frisbee, and yet light and soft enough to be comfortable for our 20 lb. dog. Now we just have to teach him to catch it.
