Aerobie Football (Color May Vary) Reviews

Its too light to get a good accurate throw and is easily effected by wind. The tip of the ball changes orientation midflight (usually pointing toward the sky making the fins the first thing you grab) and also makes it hard to catch. Which leads to the next problem: the fins are fragile! After a week of tossing it around (no abnormal abuse, just throwing and catching) the fins ripped where they meet the ball. Too light, too fragile, too expensive. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful = Durability: This review is from: Aerobie Football (Color May Vary) (Toy) My original thought was..."wow if they make their football fly anything like their frisbees, this will be great." Wrong. First off if your left handed, forget about it. It's for right handed people only....Even when it is thrown right handed the wind throws it around so it's impossible to make good throws. My dog seems to enjoy it as a chew toy. By Pete (Seaside, CA) - See all my reviews = Durability: This review is from: Aerobie Football (Color May Vary) (Toy) It was fun to throw around. It definitely spirals well. Accuracy can be an issue as others have mentioned, but it seems to be a problem when it is windy and throwing into the wind. On non-windy days, it works fine. If you compare this to a Nerf Turbo Jr Football, Green, this is way more fun as it will actually fly. As one of the other reviewers mentioned, it doesn't seem to be that durable. One of the fins has already developed a tear where the fin meets the body of the ball. In fairness, we were throwing the ball around in a gravel parking lot. This might not have happened if we were playing with it on grass, or if we were able to catch the ball every time. All in all, it's fun, it's safe as it won't hurt or break anything, but it's durability is definitely a question. |
